Q: How do I get a COVID-19 vaccination?
A: Do nothing until we contact you.
As from 15th February, in line with national guidance, we will be contacting those patients aged between 16 and 64 years old who have certain underlying health conditions to offer COVID-19 vaccinations.
Eligible patients will receive a text message containing a link through which they will be able to book their own appointment online. If you receive a text message with a link to “accurx.thirdparty.nhs.uk”, please be assured that it is genuine. Further information may be found at: https://support.accurx.com/en/articles/4794856-i-have-been-invited-to-book-my-covid-19-vaccination-through-accurx-thirdparty-nhs-uk-is-this-legitimate
For those patients who do not have a mobile, be assured that we will be contacting them directly on their landlines.
Please do NOT contact the surgery prior to receiving a text message as this will only clog our telephone lines preventing access for patients who require medical help.
Please note: as a surgery we receive an allocation of appointments as they become available. We do not have control over the number of vaccinations that we receive or the timing of them. We are working through the eligible groups in accordance with NHS guidelines.
