Also, on our website when I click on ‘referrals’ nothing happens, I wonder if you could add a note for patients who want to call us to chase up their referrals when they haven’t heard from the hospital, something along the lines of:

“Referral Update – Important Information

We understand how frustrating delays in hospital referrals can be, and we truly sympathise with your concerns.

Once a referral has been sent, the hospital department will contact you directly when an appointment becomes available. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with referral delays, and we do not have access to any internal hospital systems to check on the status of referrals.

If you have been given contact information for the hospital department, we kindly recommend calling that number for further updates.
